Our take

Zume's pitch is a published promise: no introductory rates, no renewal hikes, no contracts, VAT included. At £6/mo month-to-month that is a genuinely different deal from the 48-month-prepay budget hosts — smaller company, fewer locations, same honesty premium as Krystal.

Flat UK pricing, monthly, no contract

from £6/mo (~$7.92), VAT included Launch plan, monthly billing, no contract Verified September 2026 Zume's published promise: 'The price you sign up on is the price you pay at renewal' and 'existing customers stay on the rate they signed up on.' The 2020 terms still reserve a right to change prices at end of term with written notice, so the promise is the stronger, newer document. Ultimate £10/mo, Business Grow £20/mo. ## Zume Hosting, beyond the scorecard

Plan details as published on zume.net (prices include UK VAT), September 25, 2026 — verify with the vendor before you buy.

### Plans, as published

Zume's Website Hosting is three plans, billed monthly by default with VAT included: Launch at £6/mo (2 sites, 10 GB NVMe), Ultimate at £10/mo (unlimited sites, 50 GB NVMe, daily backups, Node.js/Python/Git developer tools, priority resources), and Business Grow at £20/mo (75 GB, hourly backups, highest-performance tier). Every plan includes cPanel, LiteSpeed with LSCache and HTTP/3, AMD EPYC processors, CloudLinux, MariaDB, email with no mailbox size limit via MailChannels outbound, staging, and 6-hourly database backups retained 30 days. Annual terms exist and are 'a cheaper way to pay', but no annual figures are printed on the plan pages.

Business Hosting continues at £30 and £60/mo, Managed WordPress runs £12 / £30 / £60/mo on dedicated higher-clock hardware. At £1 = $1.32 on September 25, 2026, Launch is roughly $7.92/mo; Zume bills in sterling only.

### The renewal math

Zume's /promise page is the most explicit no-hike language we track: 'The price you sign up on is the price you pay at renewal. Whatever you pay this month is what you'll pay next year, and the year after. If we ever adjust pricing for new customers, existing customers stay on the rate they signed up on.' Plus 'No introductory rates', 'No hidden fees' (no setup, overage, or admin fees), and monthly billing that 'really is month to month'.

Two honest footnotes. The terms of service (version 2.4.0, dated December 2020) still say Zume 'reserve[s] the right to alter our prices' at the end of a term with written notice — an older, weaker document than the promise, and we would want the promise honoured over it. And while we were verifying, every page carried a banner offering the first month for £1 with a code — a small introductory rate on a site that promises none. Neither changes the flat-renewal finding; both are worth knowing.

Renewal figures come from our Hosting Renewal Price Index (https://digitalhosting.com/articles/hosting-renewal-prices) — intro vs renewal pricing for every provider we cover, verified on vendor sites and dated.

### Choose Zume Hosting if

- UK small sites that want a monthly, no-contract price that stays put
- Owners moving off a 48-month-prepay budget host who never want to do that math again
- WordPress sites that want LiteSpeed, staging, and frequent backups at the entry tier

### Look elsewhere if

- You need an uptime guarantee — Zume's 99.99% SLA covers Managed and Business plans only and explicitly excludes Website Hosting
- You want phone support or weekend chat — live chat is Mon–Fri 9–5, tickets otherwise (Zume quotes a 26-minute average response)
- You need a named data-centre location or a US point of presence — Zume names only 'UK' and Netherlands facilities

### Migration notes

Inbound: 'same-day white-glove migration' included with every plan, any platform, most finished within 24 hours of receiving old-host details; unusually large migrations are scoped first. Outbound is standard cPanel. Cancellation is from the dashboard per the promise page; the 2020 terms describe a 14-day notice for shared hosting, so cancel a couple of weeks before a renewal date to be safe.

### Honest limitations

Zume is Alpha Internet Limited (Congleton, England), founded 2017 and independently owned, and was renamed from Gnu Host — the rename announcement carries no date. Small-company trade-offs follow: no phone line, weekday-only chat, a 14-day refund window (first order only; VPS, domains, and SSL excluded), and an SLA that does not cover the entry product. The 'no AI chatbots' line attributed to Zume in the r/webhosting guide is not on Zume's own site; the closest is 'No call centres' and 'a reply from one of us', so we credit the human-support model without the chatbot claim.

### Reported by customers

Dated, attributed accounts from public forums. These are what customers said, not something we verified — we include them because renewal surprises rarely appear on a pricing page. Each carries a status label saying how far we could check it.

- Unverified customer account r/webhosting (https://www.reddit.com/r/webhosting/)read September 25, 2026
The r/webhosting moderators' pinned shortlist 'Best Web Hosting Providers in 2026' (last updated July 15, 2026) names Zume as one of five hosts the mod team has personally used and would use again, citing all-inclusive pricing with no renewal hikes, modern high-frequency hardware, and on-shore support. Context that matters: the list is curated by volunteer moderators, not an independent test lab; the mods say they 'occasionally secret-shop support' rather than run load tests; and every listed host keeps a representative active in the subreddit. It is a strong practitioner endorsement — treat it as that, not as a benchmark. No customer comments about Zume appear in the thread beyond the moderators' own description — the endorsement stands alone.
Vendor response: No Zume representative posted in the thread when we read it.
What we could check: A curated endorsement with no independent customer accounts yet. Zume is a Cohort 2 monitor in our uptime study as of September 25, 2026.

Testing status: we haven't load-tested Zume Hosting ourselves yet. This profile is built from vendor documentation, published plan specs and SLAs, and long-running community reports — and the pricing above is verified on the vendor's site, not copied from marketing. See how we test (https://digitalhosting.com/how-we-test) for exactly what that means.
